Warriors 105, Mavericks 98: Dallas pulls game 2 victory in San Francisco

Game 3 will be at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Thursday night

It's now a 1-1 tie in the Western Conference finals

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Golden State Warriors 105-98 in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals Tuesday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors won Game 1 at home 112-87 on Sunday night, but the Mavericks evened the series with Tuesday's victory.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Kristaps Porzingis added 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson had 21 points.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 21 points, but he was just 6-for-18 from the field. Klay Thompson added 18 points, and Draymond Green had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Mavericks took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 32-18. Doncic scored 12 points in the quarter, and Porzingis added 8 points.

The Warriors were never able to get back into the game in the fourth quarter. They cut the lead to 6 points with about five minutes remaining, but the Mavericks made their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

The series now shifts to Dallas for Game 3 on Thursday night. The Mavericks will be looking to take a 2-1 lead in the series, while the Warriors will be looking to tie the series.
